While I was waiting for a friend in a public hospital, I saw a few complain letters in the message box. One of those letters, which was placed on the top most of the stack of letters inside of the transparent message box, caught my attention. It was about the complain of a patient of the hospital. The main points of the complain are that the attitude of the nurses are bad; the quality of the services are no good; the nurses and doctors are not professional. After that, it is the resentment of the patient - chosen to delivery her baby there.

That is a very interesting story to me. Having the experience to use the public hospital services in Hong Kong, I really don’t agree with what the complain letter stated. If the service in Hong Kong is not good, how come there are so many people from other places coming to deliver their children? The charges are not cheap though. I really don’t think the Hong Kong identity card worth a whole lot. To plan for the future of my children, I perfer pursuing the shanhoi or peking’s id instead of the local one. Future of those places are more promising.

When the children were small, we had to direct them which way to go and what to do next. When the children are grown, we better not to give too much advice to them. They are independent human bodies. They life in their ways, with all the thought and values of their generation, which are totally different from ours. We may not agree with their opinions but we have to respect their decisions and choices. Don’t ask more than what you have to, leave more privacy to your children. Nobody wants to be keep track of all the time. Learning to be a child and a parent is a life long process; I am still learning it. The blog would be a good place where my thinking process can be kept for future reference.

If you love you family, no need to tell them. Do more for them with love. They can feel it. If they can’t feel it, you have not done enough. If you use more words than actions to love then it is meaningless to both the actor and the receiver. I am leaning to love and be loved.

We ate something good in a restaurant tonight. Foods are delicious, especially the last dessert ordered by my sister in law. It was a surprise to most of us. Haven’t had that kind of surprise from food for long.

It was a family party - no friends and no guests. The feeling was very good. I like to eat with my family members.

Bought some lanterns and lighting rodes from the supper market today, mainly for the children. Amazingly the cosumer counsel and the custom has conduct testes and investigation on the lanterns this year, we had played those low quality lanterns for years already and now they are testing on it. We do not concern their quality or safefy. We concern more on their price. How can we expect much if their selling price is only a couple dollars. The reporter said that some lantern models may easily cause fire. Does he know that burning lantern is part of the lovely scene in the Mid Autumn Festival? We enjoy it.

Before you buy a desktop, you think you need a desktop to organize your work and save your time. After you got your desktop, you figure out that you need a notebook. And after that  what you are looking for would be a nice sound system togther with a MP3. Right, you also need a Palm or a Pocket PC to increase your mobility or to write blog while you are taking bus to office such that your time can be fully utilized. After you bougth all those gaggets, you have no time at all, even 5 minutes.

Mr. Tsang encourages Hong Kong people to have 3 children mainly to push up the birth rate and to reduce the tension on the next generation due to insufficient of population to sustain the tax base. Does he know that it is annoying to have a child in home, very annoying to have 2 under the same roof, and not acceptable when you have 3 in a tiny flat?

It is nice to hear my children singing songs and playing paino; it is also fun to watch them running like crazy in home. However, who would like to hear the out of tone noise and the bumping sound generated by the children upstairs?! This is the place where we lived for more than n years; the place where we love and hate most.
